If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking.

Why is it that you haven’t found your passion yet? Haven’t you been searching for it for a while?
Passion seems to be one of those things that easily eludes us even when we’ve been looking everywhere for it. I found four very common roadblocks that explain why you haven’t found your passion yet, what you can do about it.
Back when I started She is so Lucky I was a secret contributor on my own blog. For months I was posting and not revealing anything about my true identity.
I didn’t put pictures of myself, I didn’t use my name or create a bio, I didn’t want anyone to know that I was behind my ideas. “What if someone found out and knew it was me??” Gasp! They would know I had a website that I posted to regularly, the horror!
I know it sounds crazy but when you’re trying something new you are afraid of what other people might think.
I got over this fear when I spoke to my friend, Cara Braude. Cara works with bloggers and she is a total expert on how to make a killing blogging.
I showed her my new site and asked her what she thought of my blog. That’s when I got the real truth. Cara’s response to me was “Why aren’t there any pictures of you, or anything about you at all?” That’s when I told her about my fear.
Luckily, she gave me some good advice. She said, “you can’t hide behind your computer screen if you want to be a blogger. You don’t see any of these famous bloggers using stock photos and hiding their face. If you’re going to be a blogger then that’s what you need to be. What are people going to say ‘oh look at Carly what’s she trying to blogger’? Well, they would be right. You are!”
If you are afraid of what people might think, remember this, “what other people think is no of your goddamn business.” You have to go after what you want.
I bet you know what foods you like? What TV shows? You know the way you like your shirts to be hung up in the closet (color-coded and facing the left). You know yourself well enough to know what excites you, what makes you mad, upset and angry.
You seem to know yourself pretty well, so why does it seem so hard to know what you’re passionate about.
The real problem is, you don’t know what to do with the things that interest you. You don’t know how your love of cheese could possibly ever make you money.
You are excited by everything. You want to try your hand at fashion merchandising, blogging, marketing, being Instagram famous. You really can’t decide exactly what direction you should focus on!
You also tend to get really excited about things and then quit when you aren’t seeing results fast enough.
If this sounds like you, I have the perfect exercise for you to try. It is called “Warren Buffet 25/5 Rules of Productivity”
It works like this:
This is a great way to eliminate distractions and really focus on what you want to achieve.
Luckily I just gave you two amazing resources above. If you’re sitting there thinking, “this is great but I need more!” Well then, you’ve come to the right place.
